About the Role

This senior management position has overall responsibility for directing, guiding, and managing the provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for InVision Human Services and its family of companies. The Director of Human Resources ensures HR strategies align with company goals and support its core values, vision, and mission. The role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and oversees functional areas including staffing and recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, workers compensation, employee relations, and HR training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the strategic human resources plan.
  • Provides advice and counsel to the executive and senior management team on all human resources and related matters.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to human resources and employment law.
  • Aligns staffing, recruitment strategies, and talent acquisition objectives with the company’s day-to-day needs and projected growth.
  • Develops, updates, and communicates HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Creates and improves HR metrics.
  • Oversees the HR “brand” and directs the annual review, preparation, and administration of agency wage, salary, and benefits programs.
  • Consults with legal counsel on human resource matters as needed.
  • Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development initiatives for all levels of the company.
  • Develops and implements strategies for positive employee relations.
  • Assesses, analyzes, and performs HR due diligence for potential new acquisitions and/or partnerships.
  • Oversees executive compensation methodologies.
  • Directs and manages the Human Resources Department and its staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises HR individual contributor roles, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, and addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resource Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in Human Resources through increasingly responsible positions.
  • Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment and recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic mediums and various computer programs.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively interact with diverse personalities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with an attention-to-detail focus.
  • Analytical with strong HR and business acumen.
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and maintain flexibility with priorities.
  • Some limited travel to sites other than the corporate office may be required.
  • Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.
