About the role
This position supports a business line that is expected to undergo a strategic ownership transition to an infrastructure private equity firm called Stonepeak in connection with a previously announced transaction. Upon completion of the transaction, BMO intends to retain a minority ownership interest in the business. This transition represents an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization backed by Stonepeak, the world's largest privately owned infrastructure firm, with approximately $88 billion in assets under management, more than 360 employees globally, and over 100 investments across 60 countries.
Acts as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to Line of Business’s senior leadership team, helping to advance the business’ people strategy and optimize their human capital. Responsibilities
Focused on 4 key areas of accountability: Talent Strategy, Strategic Advisory, Business Change, and Governance.
- Talent Strategy: Develop and support the business in creating and delivering a strategic workforce plan, assess and identify current and future talent gaps, design a business-aligned talent strategy, and participate in the senior leader hiring process.
- Strategic Advisory: Assess team and leader dynamics and effectiveness, provide ongoing coaching and advice to business leaders, advise on critical talent management issues, and reinforce to business leaders their role as people leaders.
- Business Change: Assess the business change for human resources and people impacts, develop and deliver the talent management levers to execute against the talent strategy, build and execute change management strategies and plans, and guide leaders in the development of organization structures aligned with business strategy.
- Governance: Understand fundamental BMO HR practices, identify types of risks, promote ethical practices in decision-making related to workforce management, and track key HR metrics to identify trends and governance issues.
Qualifications
Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate HR designation (i.e. CHRP, ADR) preferred. Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge and technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.

Pay
Salary: $137,000.00 - $238,000.00. Pay Type: Salaried. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
