About the role
The role is responsible for understanding, developing, and implementing HR strategies to deliver value-added service to leadership and team members that reflect the business objectives. The position will lead the implementation, governance, and application of HR processes, systems, policies, and programs. The role maintains an effective level of business literacy about operational imperatives, culture, and competition. It requires full use of HR, financial, and business acumen, along with data analytics and insights, to anticipate human capital needs. This role partners with HR Centers of Expertise to drive engagement, attraction, and retention activities and may include international human resource responsibilities. Responsibilities span operational and corporate shared services, supporting prioritization of work aligned with strategic pillars.
Responsibilities
- Operational Business Leadership:
- Provide strategic and tactical direction to assigned client groups on complex HR and business-related issues to optimize performance in multiple business areas and corporate shared services.
- Understand business challenges, system strategy, and pillar goals to develop outcome-focused HR strategies.
- Partner with business leaders using organizational data (engagement surveys, exit interviews, 90-day surveys, turnover reports) to proactively identify and respond to talent, engagement, and retention challenges.
- Monitor and measure outcomes of implemented strategies, designing improvements as needed.
- Advise business leaders on change processes, including operational or business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Analyze and visualize trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies for decision-making and future strategies.
- Leadership Support:
- Advise leadership on performance management and development goals for team members.
- Coach business leaders to identify gaps and build skills, fostering a culture of engagement.
- Work with leaders and team members to improve engagement, morale, productivity, and retention.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies to leaders and team members, offering proactive coaching to increase organizational effectiveness.
- Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching.
- Lead and plan change management in business support operations.
- Center of Excellence Leadership:
- Partner with COEs to prioritize long-term strategic goals and short-term business needs, co-creating solutions for business unit HR needs.
- Lead the implementation and execution of system-level HR initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, annual performance processes, compensation adjustments, HRIS).
- Assess talent needs and develop strategies to attract, recruit, and develop future leaders, partnering with COEs and Talent Acquisition Consultants to build diverse leadership.
- Design, evaluate, and monitor training/development programs, ensuring alignment with strategy.
- Connect leaders and team members to appropriate COE resources to address questions.
- Advocate for the enterprise, role-modeling organizational values and behaviors.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices to align HR strategy with business needs.
- Talent Leadership:
- Effectively recruit and retain talent to support the aligned business area.
- Foster a team-based environment that collaborates across disciplines for continuous improvement and engagement.
- Monitor and recognize team member performance, supporting professional development.
- Engage with team members to answer day-to-day operational questions and provide guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in management, finance, or Human Resources preferred.
- 4 years of appropriate business experience or demonstrated knowledge and experience in key responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Ability to manipulate and visualize large-scale data.
- Ability to translate strategy into action and connect strategic objectives to tactical execution.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data visualization and storytelling.
- Strong relationship-building skills and crucial conversation abilities.
- Ability to lead large-scale initiatives and influence through change.
- Strong trust-building acumen, prioritization, execution, and collaboration skills.
- Crucial conversation training preferred.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods.
Pay
Pay range: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00.
