Director – Health Strategy

About the role

Steampunk is seeking a Director of Health Strategy to support the pursuit of new business opportunities and ongoing delivery of services to our Federal Health clients.

Responsibilities

• Grow the Steampunk Federal Health Sector through the pursuit of new business and expansion of existing business.
• Work closely with internal teams, existing, and prospective clients to translate Steampunk capabilities to use cases and strategies that advance the federal health ecosystem.
• Act as a subject matter expert for federal health agencies, collaborating with technologists and sales teams to apply Steampunk capabilities to federal health use cases.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with federal agency clients to identify business opportunities and support the capture of those opportunities through the sales, capture, and proposal development process.
• Help be the customer advocate for our delivery teams, providing subject matter expertise and working closely with them to ensure true value delivery and identify opportunities for expansion.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with federal health agencies is preferred.
• An entrepreneurial desire to build a business and strong “self-starter” mentality.
• Broad understanding of the federal technology market, including cloud computing, digital platforms, and data systems.
• Existing relationships with senior agency leaders and proven ability to identify new customers, participate in customer calls, and develop white papers and presentations.
• Working knowledge of Federal contracts, procurement processes, and proposal development activities.
• Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• A Master’s Degree in a related health or technology field is preferred.

About Steampunk: Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
