Director, Global Compensation

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Global Compensation to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape and govern the global compensation strategy for a growing organization operating across multiple countries. You will partner closely with HR and business leaders to build scalable pay frameworks, strengthen job architecture, and support consistent, data-driven compensation decisions. The position will also play a key role in annual compensation planning, pay equity, and program effectiveness across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Translate Total Rewards strategy into global compensation programs that support business needs
• Govern global compensation structures and decision-making frameworks for consistent administration across countries
• Partner with HR teams to ensure compensation frameworks align with local market conditions and regulatory requirements
• Evolve job architecture and career frameworks to support business needs
• Oversee annual compensation programs, including modeling, analysis, and execution
• Review and refine compensation decisions using data insights to improve program effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of progressive compensation or Total Rewards experience, including senior-level global compensation leadership
• Proven experience developing global compensation frameworks across multiple countries
• Experience establishing governance, KPIs, and continuous improvement mechanisms for compensation programs
• Strong knowledge of broad-based compensation, incentives, and pay equity issues
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex compensation matters for varied audiences

Pay

$201,000 – $251,000 annually
