Director, Global Benefits
We’re looking for a Director of Global Benefits to join Procore’s Total Rewards team. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy, design, and execution of Procore's benefits programs across all global regions, ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and deeply aligned with our company culture. Your primary goal is to deliver innovative, cost-effective health, welfare, retirement, and wellbeing solutions that support employee attraction, retention, and wellness at scale. This position reports into the VP of Total Rewards and can be based in our Austin, TX office, one of our other U.S.-based office locations, or remote for the right candidate.
About the role
As a Director of Global Benefits, you’ll partner with People Business Partners, Legal, Finance, and external vendors to manage program performance, streamline operations, and enhance the global employee experience. Use your strategic roadmap design, financial stewardship, and cross-functional leadership skills to build scalable benefits solutions across existing and emerging international markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global benefits strategy, setting the long-term roadmap for health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellbeing programs across all global locations.
- Direct vendor, broker, and consultant relationships, overseeing RFPs, contract negotiations, renewals, and ongoing performance management.
- Partner closely with Finance to manage benefits budgets, forecast expenditures, and evaluate cost-utilization trends.
- Ensure strict compliance with all global regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA in the U.S. alongside country-specific international standards.
- Oversee the end-to-end annual open enrollment process, managing plan design modifications, cross-functional system configurations, and employee communications.
- Design and implement localized benefits frameworks for new geographic regions as Procore expands globally.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of benefits professionals to maintain exceptional operational delivery.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex benefits inquiries and partner with People Business Partners on sensitive employee matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in global benefits, total rewards, or HR disciplines within a high-growth or public company environment.
- Deep expertise in U.S. benefits compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and demonstrated success managing multi-country international benefit programs.
- Proven analytical and financial acumen, with a track record of leveraging utilization data to drive executive recommendations and budget planning.
- Demonstrated capability in negotiating vendor contracts, leading RFPs, and driving broker performance.
- Experienced team leader with a passion for mentoring staff and cultivating operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross-functional leaders across Legal, Finance, and People teams.
Pay
Base Pay Range: $172,000.00 - $236,500 USD Annual
This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation.
