Job Summary

Director - GBS Incentive & Funding Programs will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for South Africa’s Global Business Services (GBS) sector incentive and funding programs, including the dtic GBS Incentive Scheme, the DEDAT Jobs Fund, and other GBS aligned initiatives. This role ensures structured delivery, compliance, stakeholder engagement, application management, financial stewardship, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of GBS incentive and funding programs, ensuring alignment with government priorities and organizational strategy
  • Liaise with dtic, DEDAT officials, provincial departments, and industry partners to build confidence and secure approvals
  • Oversee preparation and submission of funding applications, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and deadlines
  • Manage reporting and site visits
  • Maintain financial stewardship by monitoring incentive payouts, matched funding obligations, and ROI metrics to optimize program value
  • Guide cross-functional teams, ensuring operational efficiency and delivery of job creation targets

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Economics; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, compliance, or government-funded initiatives
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management with senior government and industry officials.
  • Strong knowledge of GBS sector dynamics, incentive schemes, and B-BBEE compliance
  • Expertise in risk management, audits, and reporting frameworks
