Director, Franchise Sales & Development
About the role
The role involves prospecting and qualifying new construction and conversions for La Quinta, Hawthorn Suites, ECHO Suites, Microtel, and managing relationships with property owners. Key responsibilities include negotiating deal terms, executing hotel franchise agreements, attending industry events, and submitting forecasts.
Responsibilities

- Assisting other members of development team on special projects
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of major purchase/sale transactions, activities of debt and equity, providers and other hospitality related trends within the US
Requirements
- Extensive sales experience
- Hotel franchise development experience
- Proven achievement in sales by exceeding quotas
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to build and maintain relationships
- Effective presentation skills
- Hotel conversion experience
- Aptitude to evaluate pro-forma and feasibility studies for conversion projects
- Excellent judgement in evaluating opportunities for the company
- A desire to travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A valid Driver's License
- Demonstrated proven achievement in sales by exceeding quota
- Must be willing to travel approximately 80% of the time (4 out of 5 days per week)

Benefits

Compensation range for U.S. based positions is $85,000 - 110,000 annually, with an incentive payment possible under the Franchised Development US Incentive Plan.
