About the role
The role involves administrative direction and coordination in the Ambulatory practices and programs under the Icahn School of Medicine. Responsibilities include overseeing Ambulatory practices, setting goals, implementing KPIs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative direction and coordination in the formulation, interpretation and administration of current and long range Ambulatory policies, procedures and programs.
- Directs and oversees the daily operation of Ambulatory practices, including reviewing workflows, staffing, and competency.
- Creates, implements, and monitors consistent KPI’s, tracking, reporting, and disseminating information while providing guidance on and identifying areas for improvement.
- Manages work assignments, resolves issues, and establishes goals and objectives for Ambulatory practices.
- Develops, documents, and implements procedures, identifies process and workflow changes for continuous improvement, and standardizes workflows.
- Collaborates with department and practice leadership to develop short term and long range plans, and supports accountability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supports the development of a Practice Manager and Administrative Director on-boarding and mentorship program.
- Supports practices and programs in planning and reviewing budget needs by analyzing short and long-term program plans.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory, insurance, and ethical standards regarding safety of patients, employees, and property.
- May be responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures pertaining to department specific goals and objectives, including downtime procedures and emergency management protocols.
- May support practices and programs in planning and reviewing budget needs by analyzing short and long-term program plans.
- May chair or participate on assigned committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, Masters degree preferred.
- 5-7 years minimum of experience in health care operations or administration; managing resources and leading successful teams.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Epic and other EMR systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

Schedule
