About the role
The Director, FP&A will be the finance business partner to the NA DTC organization and will also own global financial consolidation for the Kate Spade brand. This person will be a financial thought partner to the NA DTC leadership team, working closely to build financial plans and help deliver financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close and forecast processes supporting the NA DTC organization
- Partner with NA DTC leadership and regional finance leads to fuel growth and generate efficiencies across the P&L
- Support the business with managing capital investments and ensuring ROI
- Consolidate global financials; oversee and complete deliverables for Tapestry corporate FP&A
- Lead the strategic financial long-range planning (LRP) and annual operating plan (AOP) processes for NA DTC organization
- Drive ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects
Requirements
- Impeccable written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines
- Ability to hold business partners and key stakeholders accountable without being combative
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity
- Firm understanding of forecasting and planning methodologies with a focus on accuracy
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in a highly analytical role; Retail experience is a plus
- Exceptional financial modelling skills (Excel Expert)
- Experience building strategy-based long-range forecasts
- Prior experience with SAP or other ERP application, Hyperion, and/or Smart View
- Proven ability managing and developing talent
