About the role
Vituity is seeking a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in transforming healthcare through innovative strategies and financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and presents analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and officers to support critical decisions for the company.
- Affirms that analyses to support managed care contracting are completed in a timely manner, including data analysis of payers.
- Challenges the company's standard business model and associated formulas to accommodate new growth opportunities and business lines.
- Advises senior management on financial performance relative to budget, identifies areas of risk, and explores opportunities.
- Maintains knowledge of competitor strategy and financial results to facilitate incremental competitive gains.
- Educates Board members on a specific topic each year, such as Med-mal, Insurance/Risk, Cost Accounting, Financial Due Diligence for New Business, and Calculation of Fair Market Value.
- Supports CFO in developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the organization aligned with corporate strategy.
- Led the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in annual site budgets and enterprise-wide 18-month rolling forecast cycles.
- Safeguards collection per patient forecasts for all specialties, both existing and new contracts.
- Provides senior-level direction on financial analysis and pro-forma development for new growth opportunities.
- Monitors and analyzes monthly new contract growth against forecasted targets.
- Partners with Growth leadership to assess the feasibility of various opportunities, including analysis of available "investment" accounts.
- Directs, produces, and develops financial analyses to support business growth, including multiple site analysis and combination of sites.
- Collaborates with CEP Operations team to understand key financial drivers and creates educational materials for site management.
- Develops financial models for new programs and practice lines and supports the development of business plans for new ventures.
- Reviews monthly/quarterly reporting of actuals compared to forecasts/budgets and reforecasts the business monthly before distribution to leaders.
- Reviews financial reports, analyses, and materials for Board presentations.
- Presents detailed annual budgets and subsequent rolling forecasts for approval by Medical Group clients' board of directors and MedAmerica's board of directors.
- Works with Accounting team on the monthly closing process to ensure site-specific and department-specific reports are available to end users in a timely fashion.
- Provides technical direction and support to FP&A staff and others within Finance.
- Responsible for people management of the FP&A team, conducting bi-annual performance reviews, and coaching team members on areas related to individual professional development plans.
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of FP&A team, providing timely and meaningful written and verbal feedback to staff.
- Takes an active part in several corporate-level cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
- Supports the M&A financial evaluation efforts, including due diligence, financial analysis, support of deal structures, negotiations, and transactions, and reports information to the CFO.
- Reviews and recommends action for all stock or bond investments, including those requested by the innovation team.
- Drives initiatives related to optimizing financial systems, creating and improving management reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 10 years of finance-related experience, preferably in healthcare, required.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP/EPBCS reporting system preferred.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
- Experience working with a multi-state enterprise with multiple corporations and partnerships preferred.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with CEP physicians and key MedAmerica departments.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of current accounting and finance reporting practices.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, ability to write simple formulas, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to research and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to complete work with high attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.

Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $153,380 - $199,395, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance.
