About the role

The Director of Finance will support our Behavioral Health facilities with financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Manages the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting required.
  • 7 years of finance or accounting experience; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong background in financial budgeting, problem solving, and proven leadership.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
