Director, Finance & Accounting (Hybrid - Remote)

About The Position

This is more than a Finance Director role - Geneva is entering an exciting period of organizational growth and transformation. We are modernizing our financial system, strengthening enterprise analytics, and investing in AI. We are seeking a strategic finance leader who wants to transform, not simply maintain, a high-performing finance organization.

Over the next 12-24 months, Geneva will:

• Build a modern finance organization that serves as a strategic business partner across Geneva.
• Select and implement a next-generation ERP platform.
• Expand Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• Modernize leadership reporting and business intelligence.
• Increase the use of AI and automation throughout Finance.
• Strengthen enterprise analytics and forecasting.
• Continue supporting a growing portfolio of federally funded research programs.
• Build a finance organization prepared to scale with organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
• Demonstrated success leading both finance and accounting functions
• Extensive knowledge of government contracting compliance and audit requirements
• Experience leading multidisciplinary finance organizations through organizational growth and change

Preferred Qualifications

• Active CPA strongly preferred
• MBA or Master's degree
• Experience leading ERP implementation or transformation
• Experience building FP&A organizations
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, business intelligence or advanced analytics to improve financial operations and executive decision-making
• Experience supporting senior leadership and Boards of Directors
• Experience in nonprofit and/or federal government contracting environments
