Director, Finance Go To Market Business Partner
Compensation range: $200,000 - $225,000 (base pay). Actual offers may differ based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors. The range does not include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits, or other incentives.
About the role
Reporting to the Vice President, Global FP&A, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to Altus Group’s commercial leadership team, helping drive revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and investment decisions across the global business. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and executive stakeholders to support go-to-market strategy, optimize commercial performance, evaluate pricing and deal structures, and strengthen recurring revenue planning as Altus Group continues its evolution into a software-first organization. This is a hybrid role based out of our New York office.

Responsibilities
- Partner across the commercial organization, working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales leadership, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to support commercial strategy, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing decisions, and overall business performance.
- Lead commercial finance planning and analysis, driving forecasting, annual planning, quota alignment, commission analysis, expense management, and recurring revenue reporting activities.
- Strengthen commercial decision-making by providing financial insights, business case analysis, and performance reporting to support investment decisions, go-to-market initiatives, and new product launches.
- Support pricing, deals, and revenue operations by participating in deal reviews, pricing approvals, and non-standard commercial arrangements while ensuring alignment with operational processes and revenue recognition requirements.
- Improve processes and visibility by identifying opportunities to strengthen forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
- Build trusted relationships across the business, acting as a strategic advisor and collaborative partner to leaders in Finance and the commercial organization.
Requirements
- Finance leadership experience: Progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales finance, or go-to-market finance within a SaaS, software, technology, or recurring revenue environment.
- Commercial mindset: Comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders, balancing financial rigor with business objectives.
- Analytical and technical expertise: Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, with experience working with large datasets, SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, and business performance analysis. Exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Workday, Power BI, or Adaptive Planning is an asset.
- Communication and influence skills: Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- Process improvement mindset: Naturally curious with a focus on improving processes, reporting, visibility, and operational effectiveness.
