Director, Finance - Executive Advisor

This position serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the President, CFO, and executive leadership team, bringing financial expertise to enterprise-wide strategic planning and leading key cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the President, CFO, and executive leadership team, driving enterprise-wide initiatives and priorities.
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution across business units.
  • Translate complex data and business analyses into clear, actionable insights that inform executive decision-making.
  • Act as an integrator across departments, surfacing key issues, resolving roadblocks, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist with strategy activation by developing and executing strategic planning processes, including enterprise performance management and organizational goal setting.
  • Support executive-level alignment and engagement on key leadership initiatives, including the annual budget, long-range plan, organizational goal setting, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development.
  • Prepare materials, briefings, and talking points for executive meetings, Board of Directors meetings, investor and analyst communications, and strategic off-sites.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Management Committee discussions, strategy sessions, and organizational prioritization processes.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and organizational alignment.
  • Identify and operationalize corporate strategic imperatives into actionable business opportunities.
  • Provide analytical support to Human Resources and Information Technology leadership, including workforce and labor cost modeling, technology business cases, total cost of ownership analysis, and measurement of return on organizational and technology investments.
  • Ensure alignment of processes, resources, and execution efforts to deliver on company objectives.
  • Model Allegiant’s leadership and customer service values in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, business administration, consulting, project management, and/or accounting in the airline industry.
  • Valid/unextended passport book.
  • Valid/unextended driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone.
  • May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation.
  • Regular attendance is a requirement of the role.
  • Exposure to moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature, and light fluctuations.
  • Ability to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Some travel may be required.
