Director, Finance

About the role

Japanese manufacturer is seeking a Director / Sr. Director of Finance and Accounting who will join an expanding organization.

Responsibilities

• Generating and reporting to HQ the financial statement
• The preparation of Board Meeting Materials
• Reporting on the financial well being on a monthly basis
• Secondary Approval of Disbursements
• Use of Cost Accounting to generate cost method
• Works with the President using finance information to sustain and improve on the financial health and future
• Directing and coordinating financial planning and budget management functions
• Works to create Financial Strategy with the President
• Recommending benchmarks and product unit cost for measuring the financial and operating performance
• Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against the budget
• Secondary approval on all expenditure requests and disbursements
• Overseeing the daily operations of the Finance & Accounting departments
• Managing the preparation of financial reports
• Managing the preparation of financial outlooks and forecasts
• Preparing financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
• Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting
• Working with department managers to develop business plans
• Serving on planning and policy making committees
• Serving a primary government liaison relative to financial issues
• Recruiting, training, supervising and evaluating department staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience
• Five (5) to ten (10) years with experience in mid to senior level finance or accounting position
