Responsibilities
- Oversees all financial operations for two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, including budget planning, financial reporting, audit management, and initiatives that drive departmental efficiency and support organizational goals.
- Oversees all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with legal, ethical, clinical, and administrative requirements.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care support, information systems, service levels, and complaint resolution.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets to ensure compliance with financial targets and organizational objectives.
- Captures and leads internal and external audits.
- Creates and fosters a professional environment that supports employee engagement, development, and retention.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Requires strong leadership in healthcare financial management, staffing, and compliance.
- Must be able to influence, negotiate, and communicate across departments and leadership levels.
- Proficient in calculations involving fractions, percentages, rates, and interpreting graphs.
- Moderate proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and business software.
- Capable of handling complex communication and interacting with senior leadership.
- Able to assess and solve varied and complex business challenges using precedent and judgment.
Skills
- Business Mathematics: Proficient in calculations involving fractions, percentages, rates, and interpreting graphs.
- Computer Skills: Moderate proficiency in email, spreadsheets, word processing, and business software.
- Communication: Capable of handling complex communication and interacting with senior leadership.
