About the role
Lead a dynamic team of finance professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to drive business performance at a world-renowned night vision products provider. Champion in-depth financial planning and analysis, synthesizing complex data to inform strategic operational decisions and optimize profitability. Leverage a thorough understanding of cost structures, market dynamics, and investment opportunities to support sustainable business growth. Play a direct role in cash management, portfolio evaluation, and financial restructuring while translating technical analyses into actionable insights for executive leadership. Responsibilities
- Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and analysis
- Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance
- Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, portfolio management, trended future requirements and operating forecasts
- Provides analysis of profit and loss statements and Balance Sheet
- Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to leadership
- Prepares proposals for the financial restructuring of agreements, acquisitions and investments
- Responsible for the review and analysis of company cash positions as well as short-term and long-term cash forecasts to determine the movement of cash to and from working capital and investment accounts
- May coordinate company activities relating to investment decisions, inventory management, and strategy
- May perform analysis in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements
- Responsible for functional support to Operations, and overall department budget planning, structural cost optimization for commerciality and competitive market dynamics
- Position requires up to 25% travel to Tempe, AZ or Londonderry, NH
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior finance experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior finance experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior finance experience
- Experience in budget preparation and variance analysis
- Experience working with financial planning software
- Knowledge of journal entry recording and indirect expense management
Skills
- Excellent communication skills for conducting meetings and collaborating with senior leaders
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experienced in integrated business planning or S&OP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Experience with Ariba or similar procurement software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in Aerospace and Defense industry; with in-depth understanding of government contracting
- Prior expertise using program finance tools such as: SAP/Excel/BPC
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and other functions (oral, written, listening)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a challenging and fast paced environment

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
