Qualifications
- Experience Level: 8+ years of progressive financial management and accounting experience
- Government Contracting Expertise: At least 2 years of dedicated experience in a federal government contracting (GovCon) environment, with working familiarity of FAR Part 31 and DCAA compliance
- Systems & Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Expensify or comparable expense management platforms, along with familiarity with time-tracking tools (e.g., Harvest) and GovCon-specific project/program management accounting systems (e.g., Unanet, Deltek)
- External Partner Management: Demonstrated experience successfully managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with external CPA and accounting firms
- Proposal Pricing: Experience developing cost volumes and pricing strategies for federal proposals (including cost-plus, T&M, and firm-fixed-price contract types)
- Cost Accounting: Strong working knowledge of allowable versus unallowable cost rules and proper cost pool allocation
- Tech-Forward Mindset: An active interest in leveraging AI tools to optimize financial analysis, pricing models, and contract workflows
- Execution & Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
