Director Field Talent Management

About the role

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Director, Field Talent Management to build the leadership pipeline for restaurant field operations. This remote, full‑time exempt role requires 50–70% travel and partners with Regional Managers and GMs across multiple regions to recruit, develop, and retain top talent. Reports to the VP, Company Operations (dotted line to the Chief HR Officer).

Responsibilities

• Develop staffing forecasts and lead hiring for GMs, District Managers and other field leaders, including pipelines through colleges, military transition programs and industry groups.
• Design and deliver leadership programs, high‑potential development plans, manager onboarding and certification.
• Oversee the annual performance process, talent reviews and succession plans for key field roles.
• Conduct turnover analysis, stay and exit interviews, and drive recognition and engagement initiatives.
• Track and report analytics on turnover, promotions, bench strength and engagement metrics to Operations leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, OD, Psychology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive HR or talent management experience, with at least 3 years in multi‑unit restaurant, retail or hospitality.
• Proven track record of partnering with operations leaders and building development programs.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now (preferred), applicant tracking systems, learning management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%, including occasional overnights.
