About the role
The Position Director, Field Leadership & Strategic Accounts - Texoma Ecosystem is a field-based role covering Northern Texas and Oklahoma. It is preferred that candidates live in the ecosystem for consideration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare solutions to customers and their partners
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Healthcare Market (HED) to shape the strategic vision for the ecosystem
- Engage with healthcare stakeholders
- Lead a diverse team of experts to drive growth and prioritize patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, and business objectives
- Manage an ecosystem Commercial team responsible for diverse product portfolios and align with ecosystem and therapeutic area priorities
- Build, maintain, and leverage networks and relationships in the healthcare ecosystem and co-create solutions with customers
- Contribute to and execute the strategic near and long-term vision and direction for the healthcare ecosystem set by the Executive Director, Healthcare Ecosystem and therapeutic areas
- Develop and execute customer account planning for target accounts to deliver maximum impact opportunities
- Open to business travel to meet customer account needs and attend relevant therapeutic conferences
- Build, lead, and motivate a diverse team of people with deep functional and therapeutic area expertise
- Create and foster a culture that enables and requires employees at all levels to live our Operating Principles in all aspects of their work
Requirements
- Hold a required Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years work experience with a minimum of 3 years previous field management experience and/or marketing experience with cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players (e.g., payers, health systems)
- Previous account management or alliance/partnership management experience, including developing and implementing account plans for various health ecosystem players (e.g., health system or hospital)
- Proven track record in coaching, training, and/or mentoring peers or others as assigned; helping such others to better meet or exceed their goals, targets, and other responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and relationship management, drive the achievement of objectives
Qualifications
- Preferred advanced degree
- Deep payer experience, ideally including local, regional, and national understanding of payers in Texas & Oklahoma
- Previous account management experience, ideally including local, regional, and national understanding of health systems in Texas & Oklahoma
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of strategy development, including contracting strategy, administration, and pull through
- Demonstrated strong executive presence and ability to engage with C-Suite executives
- Demonstrated strong account negotiation skills
