Director, Fiber & Network Architecture

About the role

The Director, Fiber & Network Architecture will lead the development and origination of fiber and network architecture initiatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all network infrastructure meets SB Energy's strategic goals and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage fiber and network architecture strategies aligned with SB Energy’s business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient network solutions.
• Oversee the procurement and installation of fiber optic cables and other network infrastructure components.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in fiber and network architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fiber and network architecture, preferably within the energy sector.
• Proven track record of successful project management and leadership.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, data center design, and fiber optic technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of SD-WAN and other advanced networking technologies.
