Director, Federal Government Affairs (Washington D.C. / Remote)

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management within the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech industry. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to shape company policies aligned with federal regulations
• Analyze proposed legislation for potential business impacts
• Define and recommend positions on policy issues and legislation
• Monitor and influence public policy to enhance business outcomes
• Educate government officials on critical industry topics and initiatives
• Work with internal units to align government affairs strategies with business goals
• Represent the company in trade associations to promote corporate strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15-18 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years in management
• Proven track record with federal lawmakers and policy influencers
• Experience presenting to and communicating with senior-level stakeholders
• Knowledge of and adherence to federal compliance and legislative processes
• Strong analytical ability for interpreting complex legislation and regulations
• Exceptional relationship-building and leadership skills across diverse teams

Pay

$187,400 – $281,000 annually
