About the role

Provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. Partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting credit ratings and financial services
  • Conduct policy research and draft analyses on various regulatory topics
  • Support engagement with regulators and industry stakeholders
  • Serve as organization's representative for regulatory and policy activities in DC
  • Participate in industry conferences and regulatory consultations
  • Collaborate with internal teams for consistent policy messaging
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives related to public policy and regulatory trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in relevant fields
  • 6-8 years' experience in financial regulation, government affairs, or public policy
  • Strong understanding of financial regulatory processes
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with legislative tracking tools and generative AI tools like ChatGPT is a plus

Pay

$160,000 – $200,000 annually
