Responsibilities

  • Build strategic relationships with Military and Veterans Service Organizations, federal officials, and industry partners
  • Coordinate with corporate Government Affairs and internal business leaders to analyze federal legislative changes
  • Advise senior leadership on military and Veterans policy matters
  • Represent Humana Military in external forums and coalitions
  • Develop advocacy strategies to enhance Humana's market position and reputation

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship due to Department of Defense contract requirements
  • Interim approval for government security clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 10 years of experience in government affairs, health policy, business development, or advocacy
  • 5 years of direct experience in federal advocacy programs
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Ability to attend after-hours events, including galas

Pay

$184,800 – $254,100 annually
