Director, Equity & Compensation
About the role
The Amplify People team is seeking a Director, Equity and Compensation to play a critical role in designing, administering, and communicating Amplify’s short- and long-term compensation incentive plans. This position supports the growth of a mission-oriented organization.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to market analyses of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of pay programs.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term incentive and equity plans.
- Translate strategic direction into actionable roadmaps, balancing data with cultural nuances.
- Lead plan administration and participant communications, collaborating with Legal and Finance.
- Model and analyze various compensation-plan designs to develop options and recommend approaches.
- Operate independently, bringing complex concepts to life through design, implementation, and change management.
- Communicate complex decisions effectively across the organization, recognizing the personal nature of compensation.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in broad-based compensation, including at least 4 years of direct experience in short- and long-term incentive plan administration and at least 5 years in progressive leadership roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
- Experience in a publicly traded company.
- Familiarity with equity-administration platforms (e.g., E*TRADE, Solium/Shareworks, Carta).
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex modeling).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
