Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) & Financial Systems will lead At Home's Finance Transformation through the implementation, adoption, and ongoing evolution of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (Oracle EPM).

  • Lead the Finance organization's transformation through implementation and optimization of Oracle EPM.
  • Develop and execute the Financial Systems roadmap aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Serve as business owner and product owner for Oracle EPM.
  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices for planning models, metadata, reporting, and master data.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Finance Transformation Leadership:
    • Lead the Finance organization's transformation through implementation and optimization of Oracle EPM.
    • Develop and execute the Financial Systems roadmap aligned with company growth objectives.
    • Serve as business owner and product owner for Oracle EPM.
    • Establish governance, standards, and best practices for planning models, metadata, reporting, and master data.
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Business Process Leadership:
    • Lead redesign of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation, workforce planning, and financial close processes using Oracle EPM best practices.
    • Challenge legacy spreadsheet-based processes and implement scalable enterprise planning capabilities.
    • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, HR, Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Real Estate, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to improve financial decision-making.
    • Promote adoption of standardized planning methodologies across the organization.
  • Oracle EPM Implementation & Administration:
    • Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of Oracle EPM including: Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Long-Range Planning, Driver-Based Planning, Scenario Modeling, Workforce Planning, Capital Planning, Financial Reporting, Executive Dashboards, Smart View, Future Oracle Financial Close capabilities.
    • Responsibilities Include: Configuration and administration, Quarterly Oracle updates, Security and system performance, Metadata management, Release testing, User support, Continuous platform optimization, Workforce Planning, Partner with Human Resources to develop integrated workforce planning capabilities using Oracle HCM, including: Headcount planning, Compensation planning, Organizational modeling, Labor forecasting, Position management, Financial Planning & Analytics, Improve budgeting and forecasting processes through driver-based planning, Develop rolling forecasts and scenario planning capabilities, Improve forecast accuracy through predictive planning, Deliver executive dashboards and KPI reporting, Support strategic decision-making through meaningful financial insights.
    • Systems Integration & Data Governance:
      • Partner With Information Technology To Integrate Oracle EPM With: SAP Finance, Oracle HCM, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Reporting platforms, Other enterprise applications.
      • Responsibilities Include: Financial master data governance, Data integrity, System reconciliation, API and integration management, Oracle Integration Cloud coordination, Artificial Intelligence & Finance Innovation Champion, Adoption Of Oracle's AI-enabled Capabilities By: Evaluating Oracle AI functionality and future Cloud releases, Leveraging predictive forecasting and intelligent planning capabilities, Identifying automation opportunities across planning, reporting, forecasting, and financial close, Supporting AI-assisted executive reporting and analytics, Developing a roadmap for future Finance innovation while maintaining appropriate governance and controls.
    • Project Leadership & Change Management:
      • Lead enterprise financial systems projects from design through deployment.
      • Manage implementation partners and consulting resources.
      • Build organizational adoption through communication, governance, and training.
      • Influence stakeholders without direct authority.
      • Coach Finance users and establish long-term support models.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in Financial Systems, FP&A, Enterprise Performance Management, or Finance Transformation.
    • 5+ years leading enterprise financial systems implementations.
    • Successfully led at least one Oracle EPM implementation from design through go-live.
    • Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, and finance business processes.
    • Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to partner with executive Finance leadership.
    • Preferred MBA, CPA, CMA, or related graduate degree/certification.
    • Retail or multi-location business experience.
    • Big Box Retail, Specialty Retail, Consumer Products, or Distribution experience.
    • Oracle Financial Close & Consolidation (FCCS), Account Reconciliation (ARCS), Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Narrative Reporting, Oracle Integration Cloud, SAP Finance, Oracle HCM, Driver-Based Planning, Scenario Modeling, Data Integration APIs, SQL (preferred), Power BI or Tableau, Advanced Excel.

    Technical Competencies

    • Oracle EPM Cloud, Oracle Planning, Workforce Planning, Financial Reporting, Smart View, Oracle Integration Cloud, SAP Finance, Oracle HCM, Driver-Based Planning, Scenario Modeling, Data Integration APIs, SQL (preferred), Power BI or Tableau, Advanced Excel.

    • An experienced Finance Transformation leader who combines deep Oracle EPM expertise with strong FP&A and Accounting process knowledge.
    • Successfully led at least one Oracle EPM implementation from design through go-live.
    • Understands how planning, reporting, workforce planning, and financial close integrate within a modern Finance organization.
    • Comfortable discussing planning models with Finance executives, implementation strategy with IT, and delivery expectations with implementation partners.
    • Experience within retail, consumer products, or other multi-location organizations is highly desirable.
    • Intellectually curious, embraces emerging technologies—including Oracle AI—and continually seeks opportunities to improve planning, reporting, and decision-making through innovation.

    WORK LOCATION DETAILS

    Work Location: Home Office - Coppell, TX
    Work Schedule: Hybrid Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
    Work from Home: Mondays and Fridays
