Director, Enterprise Data Platform Strategy & Engineering

About the role

This position is responsible for defining, architecting, and executing the future of Highmark Health's enterprise data platform. The role involves leading and scaling engineering teams, championing modern data practices, and translating complex clinical, claims, and operational data into impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, develop and implement policies and programs as necessary
• Monitor, maintain, and support operational and analytic data platforms and technology
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure accuracy of code and processes
• Deliver timely and accurate production and analytic assets to end-users
• Act as liaison to data governance processes, data engineering teams, and IT partners
• Support data and analytic end-users and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Health Informatics or related field
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred
• 7+ years in Data Analytics, to include 5 years in a management or leadership role
• 5+ years in the Healthcare Industry
• 5+ years in Information Systems
