Director, Engineering - Corporate Giving

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Engineering - Corporate Giving to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead a multi-team engineering organization focused on building and scaling a mission-driven software offering. You will partner closely with product leadership to shape the roadmap, guide architectural decisions, and drive delivery outcomes across the domain. The position also plays a key role in modernizing legacy systems into a more scalable standalone service while ensuring operational and compliance readiness. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $190,000 annually Responsibilities Build and lead the engineering organization for the corporate giving domain Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent Coach engineers on spec-driven development and AI-assisted delivery Own the technical direction and product roadmap for the domain in partnership with product leadership Lead migration from legacy systems to a new standalone service Ensure systems meet SOC 2 compliance requirements Own delivery outcomes and establish clear goals across the domain Qualifications 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles Proven track record of building and scaling multi-team engineering organizations Experience co-owning a product roadmap with product leadership Deep technical credibility in evaluating architectural decisions Familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js and AWS serverless infrastructure Experience with compliance programs at scale, including SOC 2 and PCI-DSS Strong communication skills for engaging with clients and leadership Passion for empowering the social good sector through technology Benefits Comprehensive benefits package supporting health and well-being Opportunities for personal and professional growth Work in a mission-driven environment focused on social impact Collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives Engagement with industry experts committed to social good Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
