Universal Nutrition is seeking a Director, E-Commerce to lead content strategy and execution for their flagship brand, ANIMAL. The role requires extensive experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space and a proven track record in driving content initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Content Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with ANIMAL's business objectives, focusing on building brand loyalty, equity, and sales.
Elevate Brand Narrative: Develop compelling brand stories that appeal to both hardcore athletes and new consumers, reflecting ANIMAL's legacy while embracing a broader fitness community.
Campaign Leadership: Collaborate with the brand, creative, and product teams to plan and execute large-scale campaigns, including new product launches and brand moments.
Platform-Specific Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of content strategies across various channels (social, web, email, retail), ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: Guide junior content creators and work closely with athletes, influencers, and external partners to align on messaging and achieve team goals.
Data-Driven Insights & Optimization: Utilize data to make informed content decisions and optimize campaigns based on performance metrics and market trends.
Innovative Content Formats: Stay ahead of industry trends and experiment with new content formats, platforms, and technologies to maintain ANIMAL's position as a leader in content innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field from a top university.
7-10+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or brand management, particularly in the CPG space.
Proven success leading content teams, managing complex campaigns, and developing innovative, audience-centric strategies.
Expertise in using data and consumer insights to drive content decisions, with a strong metrics-driven approach.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, capable of translating business objectives into engaging, on-brand content across multiple platforms.
Preferred Skills
Extensive experience in the CPG industry, with a history of shaping content strategies for high-growth brands.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams, including athletes, influencers, or ambassadors.
High proficiency in SEO, content marketing, social media platforms, and performance analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
A deep connection to fitness and performance nutrition, with an understanding of performance-driven athlete culture.

Pay Range
$150,000 - $190,000 per year
