About the role
Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as the Director of Distribution, a high-level leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end distribution processes. This role ensures efficient and effective supply chain operations through strategic planning, team management, and execution of distribution strategies to meet customer demands and support the company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement distribution strategies aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the long-term vision for the distribution function.
- Oversee all aspects of the distribution process, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
- Optimize warehouse and distribution center operations to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing distribution team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the distribution department.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of distribution operations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.
- Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to distribution and logistics.
- Collaborate with external partners, including logistics providers and vendors, to optimize distribution processes.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
