Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Director – Digital Lending/Cash provides strategic leadership and oversight of digital product initiatives in RBC's Banking & Lending business within US Wealth Management. They manage a team of Product Owners, align product strategy with banking and lending objectives, and drive innovation across the digital client experience and lending solutions portfolio. This role focuses on the multiple lending and deposit products, including cash sweep and savings, as well as other lending products like mortgages, credit cards and specialized products such as securities-based lending and tailored lending. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Strategic Leadership Define digital product strategy for deposit products, credit products, and lending solutionsEstablish product roadmaps aligned with interest and lending business goals and customer needsIdentify market opportunities in alternative lending, and credit productsDrive innovation in customer-facing and internal lending platform experiencesEnsure compliance with banking regulations, anti-money laundering (AML), and consumer protection frameworks Team Leadership & Development Hire, mentor, and develop Product Owners focused on banking and lending solutionsProvide coaching on product strategy, regulatory requirements, and banking industry best practicesSet performance expectations and conduct regular evaluationsFoster collaboration between product, compliance, risk, fraud prevention, and business teams Portfolio & Financial Management Oversee digital banking and lending product portfolio performance and ROIManage budget allocation across deposit products, lending platforms, payment solutions, and customer toolsPrioritize investments based on customer value, revenue impact, and strategic fitPresent business cases to secure funding for digital transformation and product innovationMonitor product profitability, cost structures, and operational efficiency Stakeholder & Executive Engagement Report to Banking & Lending leadership on product performance, market trends, and competitive positioningManage relationships with key stakeholders including Banking/Lending Product team, vendors, IT/App Dev partners, compliance, and risk teamsCommunicate product vision and roadmap across the organizationRepresent product function in regulatory and strategic business discussionsEnsure alignment with RBC's broader digital and lending strategy Process & Governance Establish product management frameworks aligned with banking regulations and RBC governance standardsImplement decision-making structures for product launches and feature prioritizationEnsure compliance with federal banking regulations, consumer protection laws, and fair lending requirementsDrive continuous improvement in product development processes while maintaining security and data privacy standardsCoordinate with Security, Compliance, Risk, and Fraud Prevention teams on product initiativesSupport product documentation and audit requirements WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: 12+ years of product management experience in financial services (banking, lending, or consumer finance)5+ years leading product management teamsProven track record of scaling digital products in highly regulated banking environmentsStrong understanding of banking industry, deposit products, credit products, and lending operationsExperience navigating regulatory compliance, risk management, and consumer protection in financial servicesExcellent strategic thinking and executive communication abilitiesDeep knowledge of agile and digital product development methodologies What’s in it for you? This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
