About the role
Prenuvo is dedicated to transforming healthcare from reactive to proactive. Our award-winning whole body scan is quick, safe, and non-invasive, supported by advanced technology and a patient-centric approach. We are seeking a Director of Data and Analytics to lead our data and analytics function.
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing team of data professionals, including data engineers, analytics engineers, data analysts, and data scientists.
- Act as both a visionary leader and an active practitioner; architect initial data models, write production-quality code, and establish technical standards.
- Serve as the primary owner for the global data strategy, reporting infrastructure, and the evolution of our analytics stack (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Sigma, Databricks).
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization, including AI and Clinical Research teams, to serve business needs for data and analytics.
- Implement robust data governance, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Partner closely with the technical engineering organization to own and implement analytics infrastructure that supports long-term scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science, with a proven track record of leading teams and building data functions from the ground up.
- Deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, and modern analytics tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Databricks, Sigma).
- Exceptional ability to translate between highly technical teams and business-focused teams to deliver actionable insights.
- A healthcare governance mindset, with a proven track record of designing data access controls, audit trails, and privacy-first architectures that protect sensitive data (e.g., PHI, Protected Health Information) while still enabling business utility.
- A forward-thinking approach to leveraging AI and LLMs to accelerate data workflows - from automated SQL generation to intelligent data cataloging. However, this is balanced by prudent judgment: you understand where AI adds exponential value and where business context, clinical nuance, and human oversight are non-negotiable for accuracy and safety.
- A proven ability to connect data strategy to broader company objectives. You don't just "provide data"; you proactively identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes, optimize clinic operations, and accelerate R&D. You have a "product-manager" mindset for data, ensuring that every dataset or tool built serves a specific, high-value business purpose.
- Bias for action: comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a "pioneer" mindset, maintaining momentum through disciplined experimentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in leading data teams and building data functions from the ground up.
- Proven track record of delivering successful data projects and initiatives.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, data modeling, and modern analytics tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare data governance and privacy.
- Ability to balance technical rigor with business utility and ethical considerations.
Skills
- Data engineering and analytics expertise.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strategic thinking and execution.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and data privacy.
Benefits
- Free, whole-body scans for each team member.
- Growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.
- A flexible vacation policy to promote work-life balance.
- The Prenuvo Commuter Benefits Plan to help cover transit and parking costs.
- A 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible employees.
- A comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and mental health coverage.
Pay
$200,000 - $230,000 in local currency, depending upon experience and geographical location.
