Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between Global Development and Data & Technology, translating business needs into CRM requirements, system enhancements, field additions, and reporting logic improvements.
- Provide Global Development voice to our CRM strategy, data architecture, governance, and system performance across Global Development, ensuring CRM tools support fundraising effectiveness for Leadership Giving, Corporate & Institutional Giving, and Field Engagement.
- Champion Project OneView — a cross-system initiative to establish Salesforce as the organization's system of record and create data governance standards that ensure a single, authoritative view of every donor and prospect — on behalf of the Global Development team.
- Partner with Data & Technology to manage data security, user roles, and permissions within Salesforce — ensuring appropriate access controls are in place and that constituent data is protected in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements, including donor privacy standards.
- Global Development's migration from Salesforce NPSP to NPC — defining fundraising business requirements, coordinating with implementation partners, managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and overseeing Global Development staff readiness and rollout.
- Serve as Global Development's internal NPC subject matter expert, identifying opportunities to modernize fundraising processes and leverage new platform capabilities to improve fundraising operations.
- Represent Global Development's requirements for Salesforce integrations with key BT1D systems — including Luminate Online Greater Giving/New Signature Events, Workday, and other enterprise platforms — ensuring accurate, reliable donor and revenue data flows into CRM.
- Lead requirements gathering and project management for new and enhanced integrations that support Global Development operations, translating Development's needs into technical specifications for implementation teams.
- Develop and maintain CRM reporting and dashboards to track staff performance, pipeline health, and historical and projected fundraising trends for senior leadership.
- Champion CRM adoption and data quality — designing training programs, Standard Operating Procedures, and change management resources that empower Development staff to use systems effectively.
- Evaluate and recommend CRM-adjacent technology updates and vendor solutions relevant to Global Development's evolving needs.
- Stay current on trends in CRM technology, data strategy, and nonprofit business intelligence; communicate insights to leadership.
- Identify and champion the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and capabilities within Salesforce and connected systems — evaluating AI-powered features for prospect scoring, data enrichment, workflow automation, and fundraising insights — and partner with Data & Technology to pilot, implement, and scale solutions that increase Development team productivity and effectiveness.
