Director, Creators & Casting
About the role
Day One Agency is a creative agency committed to bringing fresh thinking to our work. We’re looking to expand our team with a new Director, Creators & Casting. You’ll become part of an award-winning collective of cultural insiders and industry outsiders, all of whom are storytellers at heart. This role is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is available in Los Angeles.
At Day One, we’ve built a reputation as a creative partner tuned for navigating culture today, helping brands build legacy through relevance. Our team includes trend forecasters, writers, designers, producers, digital natives, culture heads, meme historians, organizers, globetrotters, self-taught devs, indie publishers, fine artists, and more.
Responsibilities
- Serve as client lead on creator programs, building trust and guiding strategy
- Develop creator strategies that connect brand objectives with culture and creator storytelling
- Oversee multiple creator programs/accounts at once, ensuring quality and integration
- Lead creator rosters, negotiations, and campaign execution, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a junior team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, earned, and production teams to ensure integrated delivery
- Track, analyze, and present campaign performance, delivering actionable insights and optimizations
- Contribute to agency growth by refining processes, expanding creator offerings, and sharing thought leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with creators, agents, and industry partners
- Support new business efforts through strategy development, creator recommendations, and client presentations
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in influencer/creator marketing, social strategy, or related field
- Proven ability to lead large-scale creator campaigns for major consumer brands
- Strong understanding of creator ecosystems, cultural trends, and platform dynamics
- Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills
- Skilled in contract negotiations, budget oversight, and campaign reporting
- Experience leading and mentoring teams, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to connect big-picture strategy with detailed execution
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience

Pay
The base compensation range for this role is $107,000 - $140,000 for Los Angeles-based hires. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
