About the role

The role involves partnering with the team of Managing Directors, Consultant Relations to execute the strategic plan with investment consultants. Key responsibilities include engaging with consultant research teams to achieve buy ratings, OCIO platform allocations, and new institutional mandates. The Director will also cultivate strong relationships with consultant research teams, align research priorities with Invesco’s capabilities, and coordinate with the Sales team to achieve organic AUM and revenue growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as an example of a high-performance culture, both internally and externally, to ensure a strong pace of execution for consultants.
  • Alligning consultants’ research priorities with Invesco’s leading capabilities to elevate brand awareness and deepen relationships with consultants.
  • Partnering with MD’s to maintain and build relationships with significant investment consultants, while leading the full effort on a few additional firms.
  • Collaborating with MD’s to set the research agenda for prioritized strategies, leading research engagement for newly rated, upgraded, or maintained investment strategies.
  • Cultivating strong, trust-based relationships with consultant research teams at all levels.
  • Maintaining key intelligence on each consulting firm’s research priorities by engaging with research staff, reviewing Capital Market Assumptions, manager search reports, and other relevant intel.
  • Credibly representing the voice of consultants at Invesco, sharing frequent insights with key internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with the Sales team to achieve organic AUM and revenue growth targets with institutional investors.

Requirements

  • A strong network of relationships with top consultant firms is preferred.
  • Exceptional investment acumen, with strong expertise in manager due diligence, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, and capital markets.
  • Expert sales discipline, with a proven history of a consultative, client-centric sales process.
  • Strong working knowledge across a full range of investment capabilities and various investment vehicles.
  • 10+ years of experience with institutional consultants and/or clients.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • CFA, CAIA, MBA or similar accreditations (or progress toward) is preferred, but not required.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $225,000/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
