Job Summary

Live Nation Entertainment is the world’s leading live entertainment company, comprising Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, and Live Nation Media & Sponsorship. The Director of Communications, Concerts will lead strategic communications initiatives supporting Live Nation Concerts' touring business.

About the role

This role is responsible for driving impactful media strategies, building buzz, telling better stories, and amplifying Live Nation's touring business. The Director will oversee integrated publicity campaigns, build relationships with key media outlets, and manage media inquiries and crisis communications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee national and local communications strategies for Live Nation Concerts touring artists
  • Develop and execute communications plans that elevate artist tour visibility and support broader business objectives
  • Create and oversee the development and distribution of press materials
  • Pitch, secure, and manage high-profile media opportunities for touring talent and executives
  • Manage incoming media inquiries and sensitive communications matters
  • Develop creative campaign narratives and long-term storytelling strategies
  • Monitor the evolving media landscape and drive innovation across communications strategies
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance
  • Collaborate with marketing, social, digital, artist relations, and business leaders
  • Lead or support high-priority communications initiatives and special announcements
  • Deliver a best-in-class experience for artists, management teams, media partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Support trade and industry communications efforts
  • Maintain and mentor junior communications team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 8+ years experience in communications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationships within the Music & Entertainment Industry
  • Experience in communicating, pitching, and securing national media
  • Good eye for detail, writing ability, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work day, evening, and weekend hours, based on the needs of daily business operations, plus travel as needed
  • Ability to multitask several projects while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Interest in the music business with leadership ability and strong organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as Google Drive including Google Docs, Slides and Sheets
  • Understanding of social media, social editorial, and influencer landscape
  • Previous experience using Trendkite, Muckrack, and Critical Mention (a plus)

Hiring Practices

The expected compensation for this position is $120,000.00 USD - $150,000.00 USD. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Live Nation Entertainment will never request payment or equipment purchases as part of the hiring process.
