Director, Compliance

About the role

Serves as a home health subject matter expert on regulatory healthcare compliance, supports staff and leaders on compliance, privacy, billing/coding, and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and responds to reported areas of concern, including issues reported via the compliance hotline.
• Serves as a home health subject matter expert on regulatory healthcare compliance, supporting staff and leaders on compliance, privacy, billing/coding, and regulatory matters.
• Participates in ongoing risk assessment and monitoring of home health activities to identify and address regulatory risks.
• Provides and implements training and education on company policies and regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to state and federal laws.
• Communicates compliance matters to operational and corporate leaders through regular update meetings.
• Conducts routine on-site visits to home health locations approximately 25% of work time.
• Develops and executes monitoring and auditing project plans and deliverables.
• Implements the Compliance Program for designated entities, reporting to the Regional Compliance Officer.
• Leads day-to-day operations of the home health compliance function, handling compliance and privacy matters.
• Facilitates internal and external audits, coordinating with the AdventHealth Compliance corporate office.
• Assists with the performance of the AdventHealth work plan for home health locations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of management experience [Preferred]
• 5+ years of health care compliance experience [Required]

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Law or other healthcare related field [Required]
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Law or other healthcare related field [Preferred]
