A&M is a global consulting firm with a culture that values entrepreneurial, action-oriented professionals. The Compensation & Benefits practice is looking for a Director with expertise in Executive Compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with the design, implementation, communication, and monitoring of their compensation philosophy and strategy.
  • Work on complex compensation and benefits projects, providing advice on various compensation and benefits matters.
  • Provide competitive market data, conduct analyses, and prepare tax calculations.
  • Manage multiple executive compensation engagements for a diverse client base.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction by responding to client needs and concerns.
  • Deliver fully integrated compensation and benefit services to clients through client meetings and team environments.
  • Conduct proxy statement studies and analyses, benchmarking, designing, and implementing incentive plans.
  • Conduct performance metrics studies and monitor executive and other compensation trends.
  • Engage in broader projects including performance management, employee benefits, retirement, healthcare, and recognition.
  • Support marketing initiatives by developing compensation work and methodologies, writing proposals, and conducting surveys.
  • Lead client engagements on a day-to-day basis and manage staff members on various projects.
  • Benchmark compensation and develop reports to support compensation recommendations.
  • Design annual and long-term incentive awards, considering tax, accounting, and regulatory implications.
  • Prepare tax calculations and various analyses/models to help clients make informed compensation decisions.
  • Review/draft technical memorandums and letters related to compensation & benefits issues.
  • Review the calculations and work product of peers for accuracy and reasonableness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred (e.g., JD, LL.M. in Taxation, World at Work Certified).
  • 7+ years of related work experience in executive compensation and statistical analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation, incentive plan design, and pay structure analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • High motivation to learn and grow, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
