The Community Banking Relationship Manager (RM) will deliver advice and value for business customers, enabling their growth and retention in line with credit and risk strategies. The RM will “bring the bank to the customer” by connecting business customers with appropriate products, including commercial deposit accounts, payment products, treasury services, business planning, and credit accounts.

About This Role

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Help customers succeed by understanding their needs and matching them with FNBO solutions through alignment with Wholesale Banking Group Behaviors, proper use of Salesforce, Precision Lender, IMPAX, and full adoption of the new way of working in nCino.

Customer Personas

The Community Banking Relationship Manager will manage portfolio relationships matching the RM’s skills, knowledge, and experience to the needs of customers in their geography. Key customer persona:

  • Entrepreneur/Growing Business – “I’m so busy! But, my business is taking off. Catch me if you can.”
  • Average employment tenure: 8 years
  • Company size: 10-15 employees
  • Management style: Wealth building, owner-led with others involved

Deliver an Uncommon Understanding for customers by providing advice and value based on their financial needs and goals:

  • 30% time spent acquiring new business
  • 50% time spent growing existing business
  • 20% time spent servicing existing business
  • Manage a portfolio of 50 relationships averaging $50M in loans
  • Manage a portfolio of 50 relationships averaging $50M in deposits
  • Volume-based expectations measured per the RM dashboard/scorecard

Responsibilities

  • Build a portfolio of business customers by delivering advice and value.
  • Develop centers of influence (attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources).
  • Guide, direct, and facilitate solutions across all product specialties of the bank for business customers.
  • Actively participate in the community.
  • Identify new business customer opportunities and solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Oversee portfolio quality focused on growth and retention in line with credit risk.
  • Facilitate product partners and support teams based on customer needs.
  • Negotiate terms and options with customers.
  • Qualify and document opportunities.
  • Set expectations with customers regarding timelines and product document requirements.
  • Leverage technology and tools consistently for data quality.
  • Use sales and prospecting tools and processes effectively.
  • Partner with others across the enterprise to optimize referral opportunities and meet business customer needs.
  • Collaborate with partners across the enterprise to accelerate income and growth.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program.
  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls.
  • Report known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.
  • Report suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of successful commercial lending relationship management experience
  • Ability to build and grow a diverse portfolio of business products with growing entrepreneurial businesses
  • Customer-focused thinker
  • Strong customer and people relationship skills
  • Proficient credit analysis knowledge and skills
  • Proven experience prioritizing and handling multiple customer relationships simultaneously
  • Unrestricted work authorization; no future sponsorship required

Pay

Compensation range (base pay): $107,552.00–$182,838.00. This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer may vary based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Schedule

This role is anticipated to work onsite at the posted location. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
