This role offers the opportunity to lead philanthropic relationship-building efforts for a globally recognized mission-driven organization focused on solving complex challenges through innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead major gift fundraising initiatives by building trusted relationships, managing donor portfolios, and developing strategies that increase philanthropic support.
• Collaborate with internal teams and executive stakeholders to create meaningful engagement opportunities and drive sustainable fundraising growth.
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-150 major gift prospects and benefactors, guiding relationships from qualification through stewardship.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and maintain relationships with individuals capable of making significant annual philanthropic commitments.
• Develop personalized donor engagement strategies through meetings, events, executive interactions, site visits, and exclusive experiences.
• Build and maintain an annual fundraising pipeline aligned with revenue objectives and organizational priorities.
• Conduct donor discovery meetings to identify new opportunities and expand the global supporter network.
• Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to coordinate donor strategies, cultivation initiatives, and fundraising opportunities.
• Represent the organization at conferences, donor gatherings, and community events to increase visibility and identify new relationships.
• Maintain accurate donor records, forecasts, activity tracking, and reporting through CRM systems.
• Support community engagement programs and donor-focused events while staying informed on philanthropic trends and best practices.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate is an experienced fundraising professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts and developing relationships with sophisticated philanthropic audiences.
• You should combine strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and strong business judgment with the ability to operate effectively in a complex organization.
• 7-10 years of progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated success securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals.
• Proven experience managing a major gift portfolio and achieving ambitious fundraising goals.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience working within nonprofit philanthropy environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executives, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and community leaders.
• Strong understanding of fundraising strategy, pipeline management, forecasting, and donor engagement.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience using CRM platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Experience in science, technology, innovation, healthcare, education, environmental, or similar impact-driven organizations is a plus.
• Familiarity with family offices, donor-advised funds, wealth advisors, and philanthropic consultants is preferred.
