About the role

The Director, Communications & Marketing leads communications and marketing operations and is accountable for execution of messaging, brand standards, and stakeholder engagement activities. The role directs communications strategy, manages staff, and coordinates cross-functional efforts to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective delivery of internal and external communications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead communications and marketing operations, including staffing, workload, and departmental priorities.
  • Develop and execute communications and marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Direct development and distribution of communication materials, including publications, presentations, and media content.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards and ensure alignment across all communications channels.
  • Oversee website strategy, content, and performance to ensure accurate and consistent information.
  • Travel within the catchment area as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of progressive experience in leading communications, public relations, or social marketing programs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within North Carolina.

Pay

$84,405 - $112,889

Schedule

Typical working hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
