About the role

The Director of Communications & Narrative owns the story — externally and internally. This role sits at the intersection of PR, agent marketing, and corporate communications, reporting directly to the VP of Global Marketing and Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end press release strategy from drafting through distribution and follow-up
  • Build and manage reporter relationships, pitch stories proactively, and lead embargo coordination
  • Serve as the communications lead for major corporate announcements including product launches, partnerships, leadership appointments, and company milestones
  • Develop messaging and content that speaks directly to eXp's agent base
  • Translate corporate initiatives and product updates into agent-relevant communications that drive awareness and engagement
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure agent communications are timely, clear, and on-brand
  • Lead communications strategy for major product launches, including an upcoming marquee Hub launch
  • Own shared product marketing narrative responsibilities assigned by initiative
  • Cross-functional alignment on messaging across business lines, creative, and leadership

How You Will Make An Impact

  • PR Strategy & Media Relations: Own end-to-end press release strategy from drafting through distribution and follow-up. Serve as the communications lead for major corporate announcements including product launches, partnerships, leadership appointments, and company milestones.
  • Agent Marketing Communications: Develop messaging and content that speaks directly to eXp's agent base. Translate corporate initiatives and product updates into agent-relevant communications that drive awareness and engagement. Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure agent communications are timely, clear, and on-brand.
  • Corporate & Product Announcements: Lead communications strategy for major product launches, including an upcoming marquee Hub launch. Own shared product marketing narrative responsibilities assigned by initiative. Coordinate cross-functional alignment on messaging across business lines, creative, and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience 10+ years in communications, PR, content strategy, or corporate communications
  • At least 3 years in a senior or leadership role with direct ownership of communications strategy
  • Proven track record of managing executive communications at the C-suite level
  • Experience owning press release strategy end-to-end, from drafting to distribution to reporter follow-up
  • Background working inside a publicly traded company is a strong asset
  • Real estate, proptech, financial services, or franchise environment experience is a plus
