Position summary

The Director of Commercial Private Credit is an execution-focused role responsible for driving consistent deal flow and contributing to the growth of a high-performing credit origination platform. This role is based in South Florida with specific coverage of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Key responsibilities

  • Source, originate, and structure commercial private credit transactions.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual funding targets.
  • Build relationships with companies, financial sponsors and strategic advisors.
  • Execute Southeast Commercial Private Credit Playbook.
  • Establish Libertas as a leading private credit provider in the region.
  • Oversee full deal lifecycle.
  • Partner with underwriting and risk teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership on growth initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Independently manage and consistently meet your funding targets and goals.

Qualifications

  • 10 + years in commercial lending or private credit.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to self-source opportunities in assigned market channel.
  • Strong and proven track record of deal origination and execution.
  • Deep understanding of the financial markets and alternative financing.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills required.
  • Able to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong South Florida market network.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • MBA Preferred.
