Director, Commercial Learning and Development

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Commercial Learning and Development to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will shape the strategy and execution of learning programs that strengthen commercial capability across the organization. You will partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps, build scalable development solutions, and improve effectiveness across the commercial teammate lifecycle. The position also oversees governance, measurement, vendor partnerships, learning technologies, and team leadership to ensure programs deliver meaningful business impact.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial learning and development function with clear strategic direction
• Develop scalable learning solutions across the commercial teammate lifecycle
• Assess organizational needs and implement targeted development solutions
• Coach and develop the learning team while managing strategic initiatives
• Oversee design and delivery of comprehensive commercial learning programs
• Establish governance and measurement frameworks to enhance program impact
• Manage the learning portfolio, budget, and technology investments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred
• 12+ years of experience in Learning & Development or related areas
• 5+ years of leadership experience in team management and strategic initiatives
• Proven track record in developing and executing commercial learning strategies
• Strong understanding of sales processes and customer engagement strategies
• Experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, and learning technologies
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills

Pay

Compensation: $160,000 – $170,000 annually
