About the role
Flywheel is seeking a digital commerce expert to join our team as a Commerce Strategy Director. Our Commerce Strategy team functions as the strategic arm of Flywheel’s commercial team, offering a practitioner’s lens to our new business sales approach. Success in this role is directly tied to Flywheel’s revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Partnering closely with Flywheel’s Business Development Directors to coordinate pitch strategy and bring bespoke and tailored opportunities to the organization's highest-value opportunities.
- BUILDING AND DELIVERING BEST IN CLASS PITCH NARRATIVES
- CROSSING OMNICOM AGENCIES TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION
- CREATING PROCESS TO MORE QUICKLY GO TO MARKET WITH INSIGHTS, LEVERAGING OR BUILDING NEW TOOLS OR CONNECTING BETWEEN EXISTING CAPABILITIES TO CREATE SOMETHING NEW
- BUILDING ORGANIZATIONAL CAPABILITY AND DEVELOPING TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PROGRAMS THAT ENABLE THE BROADER SALES ORGANIZATION TO EXECUTE STRATEGIC WORK INDEPENDENTLY
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital and physical commerce, with direct experience with building strategies that help brands achieve their objectives.
- Specific practitioner experience required with Amazon search, DSP, AMC, and retail knowledge, with additional depth of knowledge on Walmart and other digital commerce retailers.

- You bring a strategic mindset with the ability to balance immediate client needs with long-term organizational capability building.
- You possess exceptional communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling written narratives and deliver persuasive presentations.
- You excel at project management and can juggle multiple workstreams with competing deadlines with obsession over quality and results.
- You are comfortable working across multiple time zones and regional structures, and you bring a global perspective to organizational challenges.
Skills
- Experience in omnichannel commerce, media, advertising, or similar industries is strongly preferred.

Pay
$100,000 - $120,000 USD
Schedule
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
