Director, Commerce
About the role
We are seeking a Director of Commerce to lead a high-performing team of specialists in driving strategic growth for clients within the commerce ecosystem. This role offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000, plus an incentive pay program (RevShare).
Responsibilities
People Leader: Lead and mentor a team of commerce specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in a commerce-focused environment.
Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and measuring success through team performance metrics.
Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and career advancement in the commerce sector.
Own and manage key client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring alignment with client objectives and commerce business goals.
Develop and maintain strong client partnerships, striving for high client satisfaction and retention scores, while navigating the complexities of commerce platforms.
Lead strategic client meetings and presentations, tailoring communication to diverse audiences, including executive-level stakeholders, with a focus on commerce-specific challenges and opportunities.
Integrate the company’s product and technology suite into commerce strategies, focusing on scalability, growth, and efficiency, and measuring success through key client metrics.
Stay informed of industry trends and advancements, particularly in commerce platforms and technologies, integrating new insights into strategic planning and execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of strategies and alignment with broader company initiatives, adapting to the unique demands of commerce marketing.
Data-Driven: Oversee the analysis of complex commerce data to extract actionable insights, providing strategic recommendations for optimization and ensuring alignment with clients’ KPIs.
Monitor and report on commerce performance using analytics tools, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement in a fast-paced digital environment.
Conduct data analysis to enhance commerce performance, ensuring statistical significance and actionable outcomes tailored to commerce dynamics.
Channel Specific Expertise & The Tinuiti Way: Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive commerce strategies, leveraging deep expertise in commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
Demonstrate thought leadership within the commerce vertical/channel and contribute strategic insights internally and externally, addressing the unique challenges of commerce marketing.
Collaborate with other specialists to share knowledge and best practices, fostering a multi-channel approach to commerce strategies.
Owner Mindset: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, retention, and profitability for commerce clients, measured by key performance indicators such as revenue growth and market share.
Assess and diagnose opportunities for improvement within the commerce ecosystem, implementing strategic changes to achieve client objectives in a rapidly changing market.
Contribute to a culture of innovation by experimenting with new commerce strategies and tools, measured by the implementation of innovative solutions and client feedback.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in commerce or e-commerce roles with a proven track record of executing successful growth strategies.
Skills
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive commerce strategies.
Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.
Experience with commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
Strong analytical and data-driven skills.
