Director Clinical Engineering System Management
About the role
Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Trinity Health regional area functional responsibilities. Enable regional level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues; provide functional expertise and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. Responsible for consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Service Area, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations.
- Maintains awareness of new industry developments and standards.
- Provides decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus.
- Supports leaders to achieve goals, priorities, and to enable operational effectiveness.
- Provides leadership in establishing short-term and long-term system priorities in the capital investment of medical equipment.
- Sources purchased services and parts to maintain medical equipment, negotiates and manages service agreements, ensures customer satisfaction, develops medical equipment service strategy, resolves hazard alerts/recalls, maintains safety, accurately assesses medical equipment for capital planning, provides technical guidance for procurement, ensures needed controls against cyber-attacks, implements efficient and effective systems to achieve defined goals.
- Guides, interprets, oversees, and holds accountable for ensuring all programs are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as with The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EOC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Association of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Homeland Security, and other related standards and regulatory agencies.
- Operational oversight of the THCE System Software as a Service (SaaS), including end-user experience, data capturing needs, data analysis, training of all staff on the use of system with a thorough understanding of the why’s behind the process and data requirements, maintaining all integrations developed between vendor applications and Trinity Health deployed applications.
- Works with THCE Finance on ICT data, maintains proper cost allocations to GL accounts, and all ISS&T verticals to create a system approach to data and processes where possible.
