Clinical Engineering Manager, Systems

About the role

The CE Manager oversees and approves staff hiring, work allocation, training, performance management, including required documentation, as well as other supervisory functions. They also monitor, problem-solve and implement quality improvement initiatives that support program goals. This role requires advanced knowledge in biomedical systems and applications, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and strong team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and approves staff hiring, work allocation, training, performance management, including required documentation, as well as other supervisory functions.
• Maintains standards for operating equipment according to industry guidelines.
• Troubleshoots problems with equipment or processes to identify their causes and solutions.
• Ensures preventive maintenance on equipment is performed.
• Monitors and evaluates new technologies in clinical settings.
• Oversees and coordinates equipment problem solving, repairs and replacement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering required.
• Biomedical Engineer experience 8-10+ years required or Relevant engineering experience 8-10+ years required.

• Advanced Knowledge in biomedical systems and applications, their testing/maintenance and diagnostic repair.
• Excellent communication skills to enable building relationships with others and share information effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with medical equipment.
• Excellent team building skills to collaborate with multiple health care providers.
• Display strong leadership and communication skills to clearly manage and oversee the program operations.
• Possess a high level of technical expertise in clinical engineering to analyze and problem solve complex issues.
