Requirements
You Have:
- 7+ years of experience in revenue operations, finance, or commercial strategy
- Strong financial acumen: you can build a margin model, interpret a P&L, and make commercial recommendations grounded in real numbers
- Direct experience managing contracts and commercial relationships with clients or customers
- Proven track record of building operational systems that enabled a company or team to scale not just maintaining existing processes
- Comfort with technology and a genuine understanding of how AI is changing business operations (you don't need to be technical, but you need to be fluent)
- Excellent communication skills—you can represent the company's commercial interests in a room with a CFO as easily as with a marketing director
Nice to Have
- Background in or exposure to digital marketing, growth marketing, or performance marketing agencies
- Experience with tools like HubSpot, ClickUp, or similar CRM/project management platforms
- Familiarity with agency economics: utilization, blended rates, scope-based vs. retainer pricing models
- Experience at a company that scaled from $5-10M to $15-25M+ in revenue—you know what breaks at that stage and how to fix it
- MBA or CPA a plus, but not required if you have the right operational experience
